Candy Crush board game cafe

Challenge

The licensing team at Candy Crush had the challenge of getting their new Candy Crush Board Games into more retailers. Rather than pitching a traditional B2B retail approach, we suggested creating a fun event to engage consumers, raise awareness, create amazing content and deliver marketing assets for their retailers.

So we designed Candy Crush Board Game Cafe, a two-day pop up in a four-storey building in Soho. Bringing the virtual World of Candy Crush to life across four levels of the venue, we built giant games and a board game cafe with themed custom food and drink menus on each floor. The entire event was based on childhood nostalgia from drawing on walls to music and playing games, with a roaming DJ taking it back to the 80s and 90s.
